| Logan
Logan has settled in here with us so well and although Ellie was a little wary at first about this energetic puppy who kept barking at her and jumping on her head, she is now loving having him around! Logan decided to serenade us with his lung power the first night, but since then he has been brilliant overnight. Although we still occasionally get the benefit of his voice when he wants to come in from the garden if he has been out for a play and then decides he would ratherbe inside! Everyone who has met him has fallen in love with him and said what a lovely puppy he is. He has his next injection on Monday and then it wont be long until he can experience the world at large which I think he will love. I have enrolled him in a puppy trainng class which starts the week after this - although I think he will be the star of the class as he already knows 'sit' 'down' and 'in your bed'...he picks things up so quickly!!

She was an absolute star on the journey home - cried a tiny bit and got a bit car sick but other than that we didn't know we had her. As soon as we got her home, we took her out in the garden where she had a wee (had held it all the way home!) and then we set her up in the kitchen with her bed and bowls. We realised the crate was just ridiculously big for our kitchen so I went to Tesco and bought a stairgate to block off the doorway so she has the run of the kitchen now. She has done all of her wees outside and had a bit of an upset tummy but, again, managed to do that outside too. She has eaten her dinner and tea in record timing and probably would have eaten more had I let her! She has more than claimed her bed already and when we aren't in the room, she takes herself off to bed and sleeps until she hears us again Probably tempting fate though as I think she will come into her own as she settles down and keep us on our toes!
All in all, we absolutely adore her already and I am sure she will settle in beautifully here. The children think she is wonderful and she is never going to be without cuddles and games!

Oscar
Oscar is getting better at being in his crate – does howl occasionally but these don’t last more than 15 minutes now versus the 2-3 hours on Monday gone. House training is advancing – definitely holding on now to go outside but we still expect the occasional accident indoors. Cat still stays away – they were cornered in the kitchen on Thursday and the cat just faced the door with Oscar sniffing at him. Ours is the original scaredy cat!!
Can’t say we notice him growing but his mannerism is very much more relaxed with a waggy tail and he is certainly at home here. The duck is his favourite attack and kill toy...
Happiness is a puppy sitting in the warm sunshine. Just had his second round of vaccinations and we’re looking forward to taking him out for short walks in a week or so. He’s not so keen on the lead at the moment as it doesn’t go where he wants to. Our floors are devoid of any crumbs or debris and he sleeps through the night now with only the occasional yapping when the cat comes in.
